Yakov Balakkovsky is an international corporate lawyer, admitted to practice in the U.S. and Russia. He specializes in international and domestic corporate and commercial law, with particular emphasis on international financial and investment transactions. In over two decades of work he has acquired extensive experience in all areas of corporate law pertaining to international business, including mergers and acquisitions, divestments, due diligence, project finance, venture capital, private equity, regulatory and real estate.
In addition to his legal practice, Mr. Balakhovsky has held management and legal advisor positions in a number of international companies in U.S. and Europe, including those in transportation, energy, real estate, financial, healthcare and biotech industries. He is currently the Chief Executive Officer of Vivax Bio, a global biotech company specializing in 3D bioprinting.
